Dreams Bahia Mita Wedding Review
If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding in Mexico that feels equal parts luxurious, effortless, and deeply personal, a wedding at Dreams Bahia Mita might be exactly what you’ve been searching for. Set along the breathtaking coastline of Riviera Nayarit, this resort blends modern architecture with sweeping ocean views creating the kind of backdrop that doesn’t just look beautiful, but feels unforgettable.

Wishing I was back at Dreams Bahia Mita! This was my first time at the resort, and while I was there to photograph a wedding, I still had the chance to experience it as a guest (with my mom) over four days. It’s always such a bonus when I can step into both roles, because it gives a much fuller picture of what a destination wedding here actually feels like not just as a vendor but as a guest. One of my favorite memories from this resort was just sitting sipping on a drink and watching the surfers each day.
Overall, the experience was incredibly positive. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the resort that really elevate your stay. Having two coffee shops (one of which I’m pretty sure is open 24 hours) was a dream, and the fresh-made empanadas at breakfast (gluten free!) , which I loved, were such a standout. The food across the resort felt consistently fresh, and the service was exceptional the entire time.
If you appreciate design, you’ll also love it here. The architecture and landscaping are beautiful, with so many little corners that feel intentional and photo-worthy. One of the most memorable experiences for me was actually during a walk near the zipline area, where a gardener took the time to show us everything he was growing. He even washed and cut fresh fruits and vegetables for us to try. It was such a genuine, unexpected moment.

That said, there were a few things worth noting. Navigating the resort can be a bit tricky at first, especially the hallways, they’re not the most intuitive, and it took a little time to get my bearings. Room service was also quite slow during my stay; one late night it took over two hours for a single plate of nachos. On the beach, there were quite a few vendors walking through selling items, which may or may not bother you depending on your preference. And if your room is located near the Wedding Garden (at the back), it can get fairly noisy, especially with events and fireworks happening right outside your balcony.
All of that considered, I truly loved my time here. It’s one of those places that feels both lively and relaxing, and I absolutely found myself wishing I could stay longer, soaking up the sun and sipping a margarita. If you’re considering Dreams Bahia Mita for your wedding or even just a vacation, and you want insight from both a guest and vendor perspective, feel free to reach out or ask any questions. I’m always happy to share more.
